SALO names staffing industry vet to SALO Search Division and seasoned finance professional to SALO Project
The Twin Cities market leader in contract staffing that boasts “We Know the Best Talent” continues to demonstrate its prowess with the recent hiring of Brian Haukoos for SALO Search and Nate Oatman for SALO Project, both experienced staffing and financial experts. Haukoos comes to SALO Search after serving as a senior executive recruiter for Target Corporation and a large national placement organization. Oatman worked most recently for the investment bank Goldsmith Agio Helms and the Denver Mayor’s Office of Economic Development in finance and economic development roles.
The appointments come amidst a flurry of hiring activity, growth and expansion at SALO. The company now employs more than 200 people in its contract business. SALO was named the third fastest-growing, privately-held company in the area in the annual “Fast 50″ survey conducted by The Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal, and launched NumberWorks LLC this month, its second affiliate company in less than a year.
According to SALO co-founder, Amy Langer, both Haukoos and Oatman exemplify the best talent available in the market: ” Brian Haukoos is the kind of A-player we look for in all of our companies. He’s at the top of his game, and, as a new father, he appreciates the life-balance emphasis that we hope every employee strives to achieve while at SALO. Nate Oatman has impeccable credentials and can work with top corporate decision makers and senior-level finance and accounting consultants. He knows the challenges that corporations face daily and he understands the necessity of deploying the right person to a key assignment to create greater value.”
Since it’s founding in 2002, SALO has emerged as a finance-accounting consulting powerhouse in the Twin Cities. The company quadrupled in size in its second full year and then doubled again in its third to $32 million in revenue. This explosive growth has earned SALO a number of prestigious awards both nationally and in the Twin Cities. This year is likely to be another banner year for SALO. With analysts predicting 10 percent industry-wide growth, SALO intends to far outpace that number. John Folkestad, co-founder, says SALO expects to realize a whopping 50 percent jump in its combined businesses.
SALO’s dramatic success in professional contract employment services is part of the growing national trend towards outsourcing of business functions. SALO operates in the temporary or contract placement niche, which today, is estimated to be an $8.9 billion industry. Experts predict that temporary management jobs are likely to be the occupations most in demand over the next decade. And with accounting and finance bracing for a severe shortage of new workers, SALO is well positioned for continued growth in this segment.
