How would you describe your role, purpose or the outcomes you drive?

My purpose is to be a facilitator of solutions. My role involves getting to know clients, their business and their challenges and matching it with the right solution.  Sometimes that solution is driven by proven methodologies or approaches; sometimes it is driven by the team assigned to the problem. Most often it is a blend of both. My role is to figure out how all of the pieces and resources can be arranged for the best results.

How has your previous work experience prepared you for your role with Salo?

My professional experience includes public accounting, corporate controllership, corporate finance and a variety of roles on consulting engagements. Having been on so many sides of the table, I understand the different needs and points of view of clients and consultants, and the possible solutions.

How do you achieve business outcomes?

I like to approach each challenge like it is a puzzle.   In other words, I try to understand the unique situation by getting to know those involved and organize a solution that achieves the desired outcome. It’s fun to unpack all of the pieces, make sense of the bigger picture and discover something meaningful.

What impact did your upbringing have on the way you approach your work and life?

I am the youngest of four and the only girl.  I spent the first 15 years of my life trying to keep up, but I learned that if worked hard and kept trying, I could do anything.   I also learned to be outgoing or I would never be heard.  My family is very loud.

How would your friends describe you?

Always moving and doing, not so good at sitting still. Usually the one coordinating the get-togethers and organizing fun events.   Loyal, involved and dedicated.

List three interesting things about you, but only one of them needs be true.

I can levitate a pea in the air.  I raise Monarch butterflies every summer.  My husband and I were neighbors as kids but didn’t know each other.   We didn’t meet until a decade later.

What is your favorite thing about working at Salo?

The culture. Salo likes to accomplish things and has a great time doing it.
