How has your previous work experience prepared you for your role with Salo?
Throughout my career I have always been drawn to the messy problems that no one else wants to tackle. I usually encounter them in Finance, but the roots are everywhere. As a result, I’ve learned a tremendous amount about organizations and people along the way.
How do you achieve business outcomes?
For me it is always about integrity, attention to detail and persistence. If you have those three things, you can do just about anything. However, if the going gets tough, never underestimate the power of a batch of chocolate chip cookies.
What impact did your upbringing have on the way you approach your work and life?
I grew up in the Deep South where I learned how important hospitality is to creating community. It taught me to push beyond the boundaries of my immediate surroundings to help understand others.
How would your friends describe you?
They describe me as a kind person, a good friend, and someone who has great parties.
List three interesting things about you, but only one of them needs to be true.
I was a state tennis champion, I am a master gardener, and one of my shoes is probably still stuck to the top of an asphalt tank in Savannah.
What is your favorite thing about working at Salo?
All the positive energy! An optimistic world view can take you very far.
