How would you describe your role, purpose or the outcomes you drive?

Acting as a brand ambassador and active champion of Salo’s culture and values, I am responsible for hiring talented individuals, creating conditions for employees to be successful with a strong focus on people development and growth in order to drive business results.

How has your previous work experience prepared you for your role with Salo?

I have over 20 years of HR experience as a trusted advisor and business partner. Listening to employees and leaders is key to creating a culture and work environment where employees thrive and business results are achieved.

How do you achieve business outcomes?

It is important to listen and understand objectives, set expectations and hold yourself and others accountable. I find things don’t get done without a plan – so you will find me creating action plans and leveraging key partners and relationships to ensure we get the desired outcome in a timely manner!

What impact did your upbringing have on the way you approach your work and life?

I was taught at a young age to work hard and always give 110% in order to earn the opportunity for the next job (great lesson as a 12 year-old babysitter).  Also, it’s important to be of service to others. People will always remember what you did for them.

How would your friends describe you?

Outgoing, organized, loves to laugh, have fun and sing loudly to the radio (even if it’s the wrong words)!

List three interesting things about you, but only one of them needs be true.

I have arachnophobia (fear of spiders). I used to be a roadie for the Canadian band Barenaked Ladies, and I firmly believe I could not survive without Diet Coke.

What is your favorite thing about working at Salo?

I love the high energy of our collaborative work environment and how much people care about each other and this business – it’s truly unique!
