My wife and I are huge fans of the Blue Zone initiative! We both feel our lifestyles have improved a lot in the short amount of time we’ve been working our Blue Zone pledges.
The one area I am working toward with the Blue Zones experience is sleep. I have been able to get more sleep each night, although not quite yet at the seven to nine hours per night. Through this process I realized that my quality of sleep isn’t as good as it could be.
The area of the Blue Zones Initiative that I’m most passionate about is living with purpose. The research shows that having a sense of purpose adds seven years to your life. I can stand behind that!
My experience with Blue Zones has solidified my desire to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I look forward to continuing to reap the benefits of being part of such a progressive employee wellness initiative.
While reflecting on my experience with the Blue Zones, one thing came to my mind immediately…we are all surrounding ourselves with the opportunity to live healthier and longer lives. Every day is a series of choices. Not just about food but choosing how you are going to go about your day.
