This week, members of the Salo team attended the Leading Edge HR Network (LEHRN) HR Tech Expo & Conference in St. Paul.

The largest regional HR technology expo and conference in the country, representatives from over two hundred companies were in attendance, along with over fifty vendors of HR software/services attending as exhibitors. Salo Managing Director Scott Wallace enjoyed connecting with the HR professionals from various industries.

“It was really special to be one of the firms there in support of technology and technology services,” said Scott.  “We provide the help companies need to plan and select the right tool and then support how to make it work to meet the current and future needs of the business.”

Some of the underlying themes of the LEHRN conference this year was the pace of change within organizations.  Speakers challenged the culture of organizations, asking attendees to compare whether the rate of change happening inside the organization matched or exceeded the rate of change happening outside of the company. They also reinforced the idea that HR technology is extending beyond HR departments. Salo consultant Erin Hargrove has seen this trend growing in the marketplace.

“[HR departments] need to recognize that their systems are no longer just for HR, but rather are built to work for the entire workforce,” said Erin. “We can help with that.”

Technology is continuing to evolve to support HR departments, and yet it’s easy to find yourself behind the technology learning curve. Need help finding or implementing the best technology solution for your company? Connect with Salo and learn how we can help.
