Should you bring your laptop on vacation?

Hit next to get started.
What’s the purpose of the vacation?
It’s “bleisure”—a business trip with a few leisure days added on! Seein’ the world on the company dime!
A sabbatical or extended educational experience.
A week or two to get away, unwind, recharge, spend time with loved ones, etc. (a.k.a., The whole point is not working.)
Can work survive without you?
There’s a real chance of major issues that only I can handle. (I’m kind of a big deal.)
I prepared my coworkers to handle almost anything that comes up.
I’ll be back before they know it.
Will your hotel/AirBnb/yurt have reliable wifi?
Yes! Solid wifi is one of my primary criteria for selecting accommodations.
Maybe, but more importantly, it will also have easy access to margaritas.
What part of “yurt” suggests wifi?
Will you remember to pack the power cord for the laptop?
Of course, it’s right here on my packing list, under “electronics accessories.
I’ll remember the cord but misplace the plug adapter/power converter and spend hours looking for one in overpriced tourist shops.
TBH, the chances of me getting all necessary parts of the cord in my bag during my last-minute packathon is 50/50 at best.
Which is closest to your desired plans?
Getting a bit of sunburn on the beach (just enough to leave you tan)
Exploring Bern, Switzerland
Burning through cash on a shopping extravaganza
Adding to your workplace-related burnout
Time is Up!
