Salo announced today that Jeff Kiesel, CEO of Restaurant Technologies Inc. (RTI) joins Salo’s advisory board.

“Jeff has extraordinary expertise scaling mid-sized companies and we are delighted that he is joining Salo’s advisory board,” said Amy Langer, Salo co-founder.

Kiesel currently serves as CEO of RTI, a privately held company located in Mendota Heights, Minn., whose fully automated oil storage, handling and disposal management system helps increase worker safety, improve restaurant cleanliness and minimize frying oil inconveniences.

“Jeff brings a wealth of experience in disciplined board and strategic development, as well as the insights that come from running a successful company. He will be a great addition to our advisory board,” said John Folkestad, Salo co-founder.

Kiesel has held previous positions as CEO, president and senior vice president in both large and small companies across multiple industries, and has a successful track record of driving organic growth and profitability. Past leadership experience includes 18 years with GE and GE Capital, and C-level positions with G&K Services and VIZTA3D Inc.

“I am honored to join the Salo advisory board and work with this exceptional team,” Kiesel said. “Salo is a leader in driving business outcomes in finance, accounting and human resources, and I look forward to sharing my experiences and contributing to the future growth of this company.”

Kiesel earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Williams College, Williamstown, MA and an MBA from the Krannert School of Management, Purdue University. He is also an Insanity Workout and P90X/P90X2 loyalist, so you can find him crunching and punching most days of the week.

In addition to Kiesel, Salo’s advisory board consists of Beth Kieffer Leonard, Managing Partner of Lurie, Besikof, Lapidus & Co., Dan Mallin, Managing Partner of Magnet 360 and Jeff Turner, Managing Partner of Hillcrest Capital.
