How would you describe your role, purpose or the outcomes you drive?
I consider myself a brand ambassador, aka talent ambassador, for Salo. Our team functions as the link between the talent community and Salo, proactively connecting with talent, understanding their backgrounds, experiences, needs, and drivers and then partnering with them to ensure the best fit for them and Salo. We build talent pipelines for the organization while maintaining a pulse on the markets in which we serve/support.
How has your previous work experience prepared you for your role with Salo?
I’ve spent the last 20 years in talent acquisition for a broad scope of industries and organizational functions. Whether it was a role from 15 years ago or over the last 12 months, I have continued to establish relationships and maintain connections. I have also been responsible for understanding the market and communities in which I recruit, sourcing key talent (including finance and accounting professionals), and utilizing best practices with respect to candidate experience.
How would your friends describe you?
My friends would describe me as outgoing, energetic, determined, always up for anything, and definitely connected (Kevin Bacon and I can go head-to-head on the less than six degrees of separation game…).
List three interesting things about you, but only one of them needs to be true.
I love live music, often see bands at least twice a month (pre-COVID), and my husband and I were actually married by the lead singer of a local cover band.
I love road trips.
I hate chicken (eating it, that is).
What is your favorite thing about working at Salo?
My favorite thing about Salo–the people. Everyone I’ve met has been engaging, collaborative, supportive, and funny. They work hard but know the importance of fun at work.
