How would you describe your role, purpose or the outcomes you drive?
In my role as president, my main goal is to ensure our consultants and internal teams have what they need to do great work. I am focused on helping Salo grow and evolve today and tomorrow, while staying true to our values and commitment to the community. I am responsible for holding us accountable to doing what we say we’re going to do, adjusting where necessary and shamelessly celebrating our success.
How has your previous work experience prepared you for your role with Salo?
I have spent time as a consultant, business owner, Salo client and HR leader. I think my variety of perspectives allows me to understand how to provide great service to my partners, as well as strong leadership to help Salo continue to grow while embracing our culture and core values.
How do you achieve business outcomes?
Listening before acting. I think it is important to understand where people are coming from and not just what they need. By creating partnerships, I am able to understand the core of the issues we are solving and ensure we have a comprehensive approach to achieving business outcomes that meet the needs of our clients as well as our employees.
What impact did your upbringing have on the way you approach your work and life?
My parents expected us to push ourselves and realize our full potential. We were always involved in community events and volunteering.
