Lori Riley is chief people officer at Rally Health, part of the Optum business of UnitedHealth Group. It is a leading digital health platform that delivers web and mobile solutions to help people manage their health and well-being, employee benefits and health care needs.
Previously, Riley served as vice president, human capital, for Optum. There she led workforce planning to drive organization-wide goals, including engaging consumers, aligning care delivery and streamlining health system infrastructure through health IT. Riley also was the senior vice president, CHRO and CIO of ShopHQ where she led HR, IT, facilities and loss prevention.
Prior to that, Lori held roles like vice president, human capital, at UnitedHealth Group, several leadership roles in her 15 years at Target Corporation and head of HR for the city of Crystal, a suburb of Minneapolis.
Lori has a proven track record for driving exceptional performance by building strong and talented teams.
She has an MS in education, an MBA and a BS in personnel & industrial relations from Northern Illinois University. She holds certifications in compensation and benefits (CCP, CBP) from the World@Work and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from HRCI.
Her husband Andrew is a 6th grade teacher and they have three children, one in college and two seniors in high school…and a lab named Duke. She enjoys biking, reading, travel and time with extended family.
