Lori Riley is Vice President, Human Capital for Optum, responsible for Human Captial for Dan Schumacher’s organization – Optum Technology, Enterprise Clinical Services Optum Insight, Optum Global Operations. She is also the Chief People Officer for Rally Health.
Previously she was Vice President, Human Capital for Optum Operations. Prior to rejoining UHG, she was Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources and Information Officer of Evine Live (now iMedia) where she led Human Resources, Technology, Facilities, & loss Prevention.
Prior to that, she was Vice President, Human Capital, at UnitedHealth Group where she led Human Capital Operations with a global team of 400 responsible for Employee Relations, HR Direct, Payroll, Diversity & Inclusion, Human Capital Analytics & Reporting, and HR Systems.
She spent 15 years at Target Corporation in numerous Human Resources and Technology positions, including Vice President Target Technology, Vice President Human Resources Operations, Human Resources Director, and Director of Compensation.
Before joining Target, she was the head of HR for the city of Crystal, a suburb of Minneapolis. Her career was with NICOR energy company in a variety of HR and Operations roles.
Lori has a proven track record for driving exceptional performance by building strong and talented teams.
She has an MS in education, an MBA, and a BS in Personnel & Industrial Relations from Northern Illinois University. She holds certifications in Compensation and Benefits (CCP, CBP) from the World@Work and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from HRCI.
Her husband Andrew is a 6th grade teacher, and they have three children, one in college and a dog named Duke. She enjoys biking, reading, travel, and time with extended family.
