How would you describe your role, purpose or the outcomes you drive?
Helping our team to achieve outstanding results – for our clients and for themselves
How has your previous work experience prepared you for your role with Salo?
I have spent 20 years in the consulting industry, working as a client facing consultant, project manager and client relationship manager, understanding my client’s business needs, identifying, designing and delivering solutions and leading teams. At the core, I focused on the idea that if we can help people develop their capabilities, we drive sustainable change. This is something that falls squarely into much of what I do today – helping people develop the capabilities to achieve their goals. The last few years, I worked in the recruiting field, leading my former company’s campus recruiting team, serving as a coach, a leader and a brand ambassador. I capitalize on these experiences and pull the levers daily.
How do you achieve business outcomes?
I understand the problem, look broadly for the solutions and drive performance in the team to deliver. I also always partner with my team so they always have my support and my faith in their capabilities.
What impact did your upbringing have on the way you approach your work and life?
I have fantastic parents – a father who has a Masters in Chemical Engineering and an MBA and a mother who has an MD and three medical specialties. My brother, the COO and Division President for a major financial company, and I had great, overachieving role models who taught us a three key things: 1) Success is about the journey, not the outcome, so put faith in yourself and trust the process 2) Whatever the work, perform it as an act of service; because in service, we have no ego and we do the greatest good 3) Learn to let go.
So every day, I focus on my journey, I work as an act of service and at the end of the day, I try to let go….
How would your friends describe you?
FUNNY, loving, loyal, type A and smart.
List three interesting things about you, but only one of them needs be true.
I sing and studied voice from the age of 14 until my late 20’s; now my daughter and I jam together with Disney tunes…
I don’t watch “Game of Thrones” but try not to read spoilers, either.
I feel unusual amounts of stress to get through my DVR; I have not yet seen the last 10 episodes of “Scandal” and get a small headache every time I see it on my listings.
What is your favorite thing about working at Salo?
The energy – walking through the office door is like shooting Red Bull before I even get to my desk.
