Internal Finance

How would you describe your role, purpose or the outcomes you drive?

I believe my role as the controller is to be a financial liaison and steward for the leadership team, employees and clients to ensure Salo thrives and grows based on our company goals, vision and overall mission that is very alive within the organization.

How has your previous work experience prepared you for your role with Salo?

My previous work experience has given me exposure to many different types of organizations and professionals throughout the Midwest. This allowed me to observe and understand the variety of skills, professionalism and expertise required to hold the various financial and managerial positions within an organization. Moreover, I have been able to work closely with a number of operating processes, projects, financial reporting and third parties to aid in working as part of a team that focuses on being best in class and delivering sound, timely financial results.

How do you achieve business outcomes?

Through effective communication, diligent execution and working together as a team.

What impact did your upbringing have on the way you approach your work and life?

Both my father and grandfather started small businesses, and I come from a family that rolls up their sleeves and gets things done.  This has instilled in me an attitude of determination, hard work, motivation and a love of learning.

How would your friends describe you?

Responsible, outgoing, dedicated, determined

List three interesting things about you, but only one of them needs be true.

I played volleyball from middle school all through college. I’m a fitness and nutrition coach through Beachbody. I’ve been skydiving.

The upbeat energy and the great group of professional, respectful and fun people!
