How would you describe your role, purpose or the outcomes you drive?
Everyday I have the opportunity to help our consultants find challenging and exciting work. It’s unbelievably rewarding to be so closely aligned to extremely talented people and to be a partner in their careers.
How has your previous work experience prepared you for your role with Salo?
As an insurance broker, I developed the ability to uncover new business opportunities as well as build strong relationships. My experience as a collegiate basketball coach prepared me in many different ways to effectively manage consultant and client relationships. As a coach I was constantly motivating, educating, selling thoughts and ideas, bringing in teamwork and collaboration, recruiting as well as performing in the spotlight.
How do you achieve business outcomes?
I’m driven to help clients achieve success with their business initiatives by providing them with talented, experienced and professional consultants.
What impact did your upbringing have on the way you approach your work and life?
I grew up in a small farming community and was a leader in sports and extracurricular activities, so I have always been internally motivated and very competitive. However, my family has always been number one. I think that shapes my approach to work and life – prioritize, do the right thing, work hard, juggle, balance and have a blast in the process.
How would your friends describe you?
Healthy, supportive, caring, a loyal running/yoga buddy, and unless everyone is lying to me I hear that I am really a nice person!
List three interesting things about you, but only one of them needs be true.
I am one of 7 or 8 people in our office who either have twins or are a twin themselves. I wear high heels just to make everyone feel even shorter. I love Packer fans.
What is your favorite thing about working at Salo?
I’m surrounded by driven, supportive, extremely smart and even funnier colleagues. Seriously, the best!
