How would you describe your role, purpose or the outcomes you drive?
My role is to be a connector in the community between companies who need great people and consultants who are looking for great work.

How has your previous work experience prepared you for your role with Salo?
I began my career in public accounting where I learned the key to success was having the right person in the right role.

How would your friends describe you?
Energetic, funny, grateful.

List three interesting things about you, but only one of them needs to be true.
I take an annual trip to the boundary waters with my brothers and Dad, which provides a nice opportunity to unplug and unwind.

I was in an alternative rock band in high school. If you ask nicely, I might share our one recorded album with you (but probably not).

I have five siblings and despite a 14 year age gap, we all remain close.

What is your favorite thing about working at Salo?
The opportunity to work with such fantastic people!

Jim Doyle

How would you describe your role, purpose or the outcomes you drive?
My role is to coach, manage, and mentor our Chicago business development team. The purpose is to help them become trusted business advisors to our clients.  We also aim to provide meaningful experiences for our consultants by matching their skills with our clients’ needs and desired outcomes.

How has your previous work experience prepared you for your role with Salo?
I have learned a lot over the course of my career, which includes over 20 years of experience in a combination of public accounting, corporate, and consulting roles. Now focused on business development, I leverage my past experience and knowledge to provide creative solutions that address our clients’ unique risks, challenges and opportunities for growth.

How would your friends describe you?
Tall, silly, positive, connector, influencer, and a great story-teller of our shared adventures.

List three interesting things about you, but only one of them needs to be true.
I obtained a perfect score on the CPA exam.

I always like to see the good in any situation.

I am still aiming to make my first hole-in-one on the golf course.

What is your favorite thing about working at Salo?
I love the energy and enthusiasm in our office. We have fun and celebrate our collective success in many ways, most notably when win a new project and bang the GONG.

Taylor Stehlik

How would you describe your role, purpose or the outcomes you drive?
I connect our great consultants to great companies in the marketplace.

How has your previous work experience prepared you for your role with Salo?
I started my career in a finance rotational program at Honeywell. I was able to work in a variety of roles and I was part of major transformation projects.

How would your friends describe you?
Caring, driven, and an avid hobbyist.

I compete in inline skating races.

I have been certified to operate a boiler in the state of Minnesota.

I have my own signature approach to tying my shoes, holding a pencil, and typing.

What is your favorite thing about working at Salo?
First and foremost, I love helping people every single day. I also love that the people I work with are extraordinarily supportive and driven!

Lindsay Schneider

How would you describe your role, purpose or the outcomes you drive?
In my role as a Sales Director, I partner with the team to ensure that we are providing meaningful experiences for our consultants and clients.

How has your previous work experience prepared you for your role with Salo?
I have spent my career in traditional accounting roles, both in public accounting at Ernst & Young, as well as in industry at Optum, and can relate to our clients’ needs and can translate those needs to consultants.

How would your friends describe you?
Organized, hospitable and a planner.

I was a collegiate golfer and still love to play when able.

I love to travel and have been to all fifty states.

I have been winter camping in the Boundary Waters in northern MN where I slept in snow caves that I built.

What is your favorite thing about working at Salo?
The people, hands down. Everyone is positive, driven and fun to be around!

John Bankhurst

How would you describe your role, purpose or the outcomes you drive?

My role is to be a connector – to work with our clients to understand their resource needs and find a Salo consultant who has the skills and experience to drive business outcomes. I strive to be an advisor to our clients and consultants to drive growth.

How has your previous work experience prepared you for your role with Salo?

Prior to joining Salo, I spent my entire career working in finance and accounting roles. I started my career in public accounting (proud Andersen alum) and worked in internal audit, internal controls and commercial finance roles for companies in the consumer products, distribution, technology and real estate industries. My experience developed my ability to problem solve, make decisions quickly and match the right talent to the right role, which is critical in the project consulting world.

How would your friends describe you?

Loyal, inquisitive and fun-loving.

I have explored over 40 counties. I love game shows and have been an audience member of The Price is Right. I won the first season of American Idol.

What is your favorite thing about working at Salo?

The fun and positive team environment that supports each person to achieve their goals, and have fun along the way!

Meghan Kratz

How would you describe your role, purpose or the outcomes you drive?

My role is to build relationships and make connections with clients and consultants to help achieve success for both parties.

How has your previous work experience prepared you for your role with Salo?

I have spent the majority of my career in public accounting at Boulay. My experience in public accounting has prepared me to be my clients’ trusted advisor. As a trusted advisor, I focus on understanding my clients’ needs, brainstorming solutions and helping facilitate a resolution.

How would your friends describe you?

Thoughtful, inquisitive and friendly.

I am a fourth degree black belt in Taekwondo. I have sailed the Caribbean. I love peanut butter on a hamburger.

What is your favorite thing about working at Salo?

The positive energy and amazing people!

Nick Marvin

How would you describe your role, purpose or the outcomes you drive?

In my role, my first priority is to identify and execute the best possible outcomes for my clients. To achieve this goal it is imperative to listen first, ask helpful questions, and always think creatively!

How has your previous work experience prepared you for your role with Salo?

I have 15 years’ worth of experience in senior-level accounting and finance roles. Many of those years were spent client-facing, while others were spent utilizing consultants to achieve my own key initiatives. I am grateful to be able to call upon a diverse collection of work experience to put myself in the shoes of Salo consultants and clients alike in order to arrive at the best possible solutions.

How would your friends describe you?

My friends would tell you I’m driven, detail-oriented, passionate, and genuine.

I was the Homecoming King in high school.
I have a huge comic book collection.
I shave my head every year to raise funding for childhood cancer research.

The best thing about working for Salo is the shameless celebration of our people and all of their accomplishments!

Jessica Schmidt

How would you describe your role, purpose or the outcomes you drive?

I help our Compass consultants navigate through meaningful professional experiences on their journey to discover which direction they want to take their careers.

How has your previous work experience prepared you for your role with Salo?

I have worked in public accounting and an industry role focused on talent management. I have had many career planning conversations with driven and curious professionals that have helped prepare me for this role.

How would your friends describe you?

A kind-hearted, motivated, hard-working perfectionist who gets things done.

I have written a book about growing up on a farm with three sisters.
I cook with all my own recipes.
I own a barn in South Dakota.

How would you describe your role, purpose or the outcomes you drive?
Connecting consultants with clients to achieve growth and success.

How has your previous work experience prepared you for your role with Salo?
I have helped companies grow during my tenure with EY, Best Buy and others. I have seen a variety of scenarios which helps me understand the needs of my clients and match them with a consultant that can meet and exceed their needs.

How would your friends describe you?
Loyal, dependable, and a lot of fun.

I have read over 500 books. I am a hand model. I married my high school sweetheart.

The people I work with and the people I get to meet every day.

How would you describe your role, purpose or the outcomes you drive?

I truly embrace the role of connecting with people every day with the ultimate goal of creating incredible value for our clients and consultants through meaningful partnerships.

How has your previous work experience prepared you for your role with Salo?

I have been a finance & accounting professional in the Chicagoland area for over a decade. The experiences and challenges I faced throughout my career have helped me understand how talented people make all the difference.

How do you achieve business outcomes?

By placing tremendous importance on exceeding client expectations.

What impact did your upbringing have on the way you approach your work and life?

Growing up in a small town I learned firsthand how valuable relationships and reputations are.

Inclusive, relentless, outgoing and loyal.

I could dunk a basketball by 6th grade, I was a salesperson for my college newspaper, I have visited every continent except Antarctica.
