List three interesting things about you, but only one of them needs to be true.

I was a professional curler in Europe for a short time. I received my master scuba certification on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. I love low-budget horror movies from the 70s and 80s.

What is your favorite thing about working at Salo?

The amazing and talented people I get to work with every day and the mission of the organization. I strongly believe that all people desire to develop meaningful relationships with others and that is what we get to do every day at Salo.

How would you describe your role, purpose or the outcomes you drive?

In leading the Talent Connection/Talent Acquisition function, my team and I are the brand ambassadors for engaging with Salo’s talent community.  We connect with prospective talent to assess what the right partnership is for the candidate and Salo.

How has your previous work experience prepared you for your role with Salo?

I have been active in the talent sector for over 20 years. I have a passion for connecting and exploring possibilities with potential talent.

How would your friends describe you?

My friends would say that I have a good sense of humor.

List three interesting things about you, but only one of them needs to be true.

I am an avid knitter. My first job was to check feet for warts at the local community pool. I play the accordion.

What is your favorite thing about working at Salo?

Interacting with a wide array of talented people and learning from those around me.

How would you describe your role, purpose or the outcomes you drive?

My role as a Talent Connection Manager is to build new relationships and bring new talent to my team and Salo. While I’m bringing in talent for current engagements, I’m more often building up our pipeline asking, “could this person be a good future consultant or client?” I love it because this forward-thinking approach allows the whole recruiting process to be very organic and less transactional.

How has your previous work experience prepared you for your role with Salo?

I worked in business development and recruiting for boutique staffing firms prior to Salo. It gave me a great foundation and work ethic because unless you work for a large global executive search firm or top consulting firm, business doesn’t come to you. You really have to cultivate your own brand and reputation, have a ton of integrity and consistently bring the best talent to the table if you want to win business.

How would your friends describe you?

Loyal and always trying to make them laugh.

List three interesting things about you, but only one of them needs to be true.

My club soccer team won the California State Cup twice. I was in a plane crash. I once ran a five-minute mile.

What is your favorite thing about working at Salo?

The people I work with. Everyone genuinely cares about the outcome and how we treat our clients and consultants and although it’s a hard industry, we do still manage to have fun.
